NotesNOW · fix dictation mistakes
Dictation got it wrong? One tap puts it right.
No full stops, no capitals, "flower" where you said "flour". NotesNOW's context sweep reads the whole note, fixes the punctuation and grammar, and highlights every word that doesn't fit – so you check three words, not the whole thing.

The usual mistakes
What speech to text gets wrong – and what the sweep does about it
No punctuation
Dictation writes one long run-on line. The sweep puts the full stops, commas and question marks back in.
Missing capitals
Sentence starts, names, days and places get their capitals – Saturday, Christchurch, Sarah.
Sound-alike words
Where grammar decides – their, there, they're – the sweep fixes it for you. Where it can't be sure, it asks.
Misheard words
Beech for beach, whether for weather. Each one is highlighted with a suggestion: Change it, type your own, or Keep mine.
Example
A real dictated note, before and after
Dictated
meeting with sarah on thursday at 2 bring the quotes from both suppliers and ask if the whether will hold for the beech clean up on saturday
Swept
Meeting with Sarah on Thursday at 2. Bring the quotes from both suppliers, and ask if the weather will hold for the beach clean-up on Saturday.
Capitals, full stops and the comma went in by themselves. The two highlighted words were offered as changes – one tap each, or Accept all.

Yes. Tap Write, paste the text into a new note and tap the sweep.
How many sweeps are free?
Five a month. NotesNOW Plus – $5.99 a month or $39.99 a year (NZD), with a 7-day free trial – makes them unlimited and adds Rewrite as….
Will it change what I meant?
No. On its own it only fixes punctuation, capitals and grammar. Any change to a word is shown to you first, and Undo sweep puts the original back.
Does it use New Zealand spelling?
Yes – colour, organise, metre and the rest.
